Dear Students,

When I said goodbye to you when we left school for fall break, I thought I would only have to miss you for 10 days. Can you believe how much the world has changed since then? Everything is so different now. I miss normal life. I miss sports and the Utah Jazz. I miss hanging out with friends. I miss going to the store and being able to buy eggs.

But do you know what I miss WAY more than ANY of that?? YOU!!! I miss every one of you SO much. I think about you every day and wish that we could be together. I go to the classroom to get things and see all of your astronomy posters hanging on the walls and can’t wait to hear you present them. I miss reading to you, I miss teaching you, I miss my conversations with you, I miss your smiles, I miss your senses of humor, I miss eating lunch with you, I miss playing with you at recess, I miss seeing your eyes sparkle when you learn something new, I miss your love of learning, I miss building Lego rockets with you, and I miss everything else about being with you every school day. This coronavirus is a THIEF and it’s taking away from our precious time together!

I just want you to know that I love you so much and I can’t wait to be with you again. I hope you are able to still do some fun things and are enjoying your time with your family and aren’t fighting with your siblings too much. You are the best and I miss you more than I could possibly say.

Love,
Mr. Eyre
