  • Backpack or bag: Please, no backpacks with wheels or hard plastic
  • Reusable water bottle: It is important that they have their water bottles at school every day.
  • Plastic snap-shut pencil box. Standard size – approx. 8″x 5″x 2″ (no pencil bags)..
  • Fiskars kid scissors.
  • Colored pencils. 24-count box or two 12-count boxes.
  • 3 wide-ruled composition notebooks (please double-check that they are wide-ruled)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • Wired earbuds or headphones for computers
  • $20.00 for the entire year’s supply of consumables and project materials – pencils, erasers, rulers, 3-ring binders, clipboards, homework folders, subject folders, notebook paper, personal white boards and dry erase markers, Ziploc bags, glue, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and other needed materials (Please don’t send any of these items to school as Mr. Eyre will purchase matching supplies in bulk).

I encourage my students to bring books from home to read during silent reading time and when work is finished (they won’t need them on the first day). I have hundreds of books in the classroom that students are welcome to use, but they might want to bring books from home that I don’t have. They can also order great, cheap books from Scholastic Book Clubs, which helps us earn free classroom books.

Please do not bring the following items to school:

  • Hand-held pencil sharpeners. Somehow those shavings always get on the floor. I have electric sharpeners for both regular and colored pencils.
  • Markers or pens.
  • Stickers, stamps, or glitter.
  • Toys or electronic devices (unless it is brought for show-and-tell, in which case it must stay in a backpack until it is time to show it).

Please write your name on all of your supplies in permanent marker.

If you have any questions about supplies, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
